About
I'm a software engineer. Most of my working life happens close to the metal: latency-sensitive systems, the JVM's fast paths, and — increasingly — building software together with AI agents.
This site is my notebook. I write things down so I understand them better, and publish the parts that might be useful to someone else.
What I write about
- High-frequency trading. Matching engines, market data pipelines, lock-free data structures, and the operational reality of systems where microseconds are a feature.
- High-performance Java. The JVM under load: allocation discipline, off-heap memory, cache-friendly code, GC behavior, and profiling until the p99 comes down.
- Agentic development. What changes when agents write, review, and operate code — the workflows, the tooling, and where it still falls apart.
There's an RSS feed if you'd like to follow along.
